Varisi must be applied twice daily. Each application will free the effected area of fungal or bacterial infection for a twelve hour period. This gives your body a chance to reproduce in an area free from infection. This will allow the nail to reattach to a clean and healthy nail bed.
It is very important that you DO NOT use any sharp or pointed instruments under the nail. It is natural to "clean" what appears to be dirty in or around the nail. By using sharp instrument under the nail may UN attach the new, healthy nail that may be attempting to adhere to the bed? This UN attachment will be setting the healing process back as it will have to re attach again. It is best to let nature take its course. If you would like to use hydrogen peroxide and a soft toothbrush (nail brushes have a tendency to be to stiff) to clean the nail.
Cutting the nail to short to expose the nail bed is also something you should stay away from. The nails job regardless of its condition is to protect the nail bed. By cutting the ugly nail away may seem to be a way to rid of the problem. Instead it can increase chances of further bacteria and damage to the nail bed.
Also if you are taking any medications, this may slow down your bodies’ reproduction time.
Varisi will still be effective, however projected time may be extended.
